While this book contains many good bits of information, it is clearly geared toward youthful athletes. The idea, for example, that one's metabolism uses 12 calories per pound of body weight is not true for older folks, and many others. I do not regret reading it, it has expanded my knowledge, but if you do not fall within the apparently intended audience, it will not be the go-to book for your weight loss needs.It is well-written and to the point.
The book says that all diets work, this one works very efficiently. Two weeks in and I'm already seeing tremendous results! I would recommend this to anyone who wants or needs to lose weight quickly. I'll update my review after more time has gone by, but for now this diet gets 5 stars.
I know for a fact that this diet works. Nick was my judo coach & mma coach. At my heaviest I was 264 lbs. I won an amatuer mma championship at 185 lbs& at 37 years of age. I use the techniques from this book still today. I am almost 40 now and I won a Nebraska state judo title. The reason is losing the weight to help my conditioning as well as keeping my strength. I would recomend this book to anyone that wants to lose weight & stay strong.
I bought this book and read it. The instructions are very easy to understand. Anyone can lose weight and get in shape using this method. There is no reason for you to buy expensive food advertised on TV.
You will not be disappointed in this book. The author is an educated nutritionist with a doctorate degree. He explains everything in an easy to follow diet plan. I've read a few other books on this subject and find this one the most helpful. His book is short and to the point. Go ahead and give it a read.
Check out the protein fluff recipe. Guaranteed to stave off those hunger cravings. The results in this book cannot be questioned. If you're looking to get results fast and keep all that hard earned muscle this is a must read!
Easy to understand and great explanations about exactly how the diet works. Love that it addresses the changes between women and men and how to compensate. Look forward to giving this a try!
Great book. I tried it and it worked. Need to read more info on metabolism and macronutrients consumption effect on your body.
